SCLEROTHERAPY
Sclerotherapy is a method of treating the simplest varicose veins and intradermal venous dilatations, commonly called spider veins.
Sclerotherapy involves giving the right medicine to your vein. Injections are made with a very thin insulin needle. After the injection, the vein constricts, the irritated vein wall fibrils, blood flow stops and the vein stops visible within a few days to several weeks. The procedure is painless and does not require anesthesia. It takes about 30 minutes. After the procedure, the patient returns to normal activities.
In the case of varicose veins of the lower extremities, after the procedure, an additional pressure dressing is used to increase the effectiveness of the treatment technique used.
Getting a good result often requires several treatments. After the Sclerotherapy procedure, skin discoloration may occur at the application site. These discolorations in most cases disappear spontaneously up to six months after the procedure.
